Sedation Dentistry

425 Dental is dedicated to making sure your wisdom tooth removal is as comfortable, safe, and efficient as possible. The procedure is performed in-house by our trusted oral surgeon, who performs the procedure while you are under sedation in order to make your visit with us as smooth, comfortable and efficient as possible. Our team is highly skilled in the administration of sedation, and will ALWAYS be right by your side to monitor you, adjust sedation levels as necessary, and make sure you’re safe.

  • IV Sedation
    • Ideal for larger procedures performed by our oral surgeon, especially wisdom tooth removal. IV Sedation places you into conscious sedation – this means you’ll experience a ‘twilight state’ where you won’t be aware of the procedure taking place, feel anything at all during it, or you may fall asleep. Once the procedure is complete and the sedation begins to wear off, you won’t even remember it taking place – this is why we require a trusted friend or family member to be available to take you home following the procedure.

Why Do Wisdom Teeth Need to be Removed?

Wisdom teeth are meant to grow in during early adulthood – however, many people’s jaws are too small or narrow to properly support them. They may not erupt pass the gums at all and can cause:

  • Overcrowding
  • Damage to Surrounding Teeth
  • Infection
  • Cysts or Tumors

Normally, wisdom teeth should be examined and, if necessary, removed during a patient’s late teen years. While it’s possible for some people to properly support their wisdom teeth without issue, 425 Dental is here to assess your unique situation and help determine if wisdom tooth removal is necessary soon or in the future.
